I transmigrated into the body of a princess in some unknown rofan novel.
And not just any princess—I was the cherished daughter finally born after a string of princes.
‘Goodbye to a life spent being compared to the boss’s spoiled daughter!’
‘Goodbye to that damn company’s signature toilet-cleaning duties too!’
I thought this new life would finally be a flowery path…
Until war broke out, the kingdom fell, and my neck was chopped off.
“This one’s name isn’t on the list?”
“Then you can’t take her. Hey, you, behave until I return!”
The grim reapers shrugged, saying my name “wasn’t on the list,” then turned me into a lingering ghost, vanishing without a second thought.
‘No, I tried my hardest to live a good life!’
Still, as a ghost, I managed to get by, and on the day of my ‘Hooray! 350 Years of Failing to Ascend’ celebration, I came across a little boy trembling with fear.
“P-please… don’t juggle with your eyeballs—!”
—…Ha, ridiculous. I’m not that kind of ghost.
I shoved the boy out of my space and let him vanish from my mind…
Until a man finally came.
“You’ve been waiting all this time, haven’t you?”
‘Finally, you’ve come to fetch me? You little…!’
But this man wasn’t the Grim Reaper I’d been waiting for.
He was Helios, god of this world, smiling like a cunning serpent as he spoke.
“If you raise that child into a proper adult, I’ll grant you ascension.”
I had no choice. I reluctantly agreed through tears, and he added:
“I wouldn’t just toss you into raising a child blindly. I’ll grant you a skill. One crafted for your own style.”
‘My style? What kind of nonsense is that?’
And the instant the thought crossed my mind, something familiar materialized before me.
